Jubilee Street – disabled parking bays

From Friday 18 August 2006 you will be unable to use the disabled parking bays in Jubilee Street. Nearby Regent Street will have 3 temporary disabled bays for your use at the east side southern most end until the Jubilee Street bays are reinstated Also in nearby New Road you will find disabled parking bays.

Work will be starting on Myhotel Brighton the boutique hotel on Block 2 Jubilee Street soon. It will take about 18 months. In order to maintain access along Jubilee Street throughout the build period it is necessary to move the hoarding from the site boundary to encompass the existing disabled parking bays in Jubilee Street. This will allow self contained access for construction vehicles and avoid obstruction in the street. It is also necessary from the point of view of public safety. As any parking in the street will effectively block the road to traffic any illegally parked cars in Jubilee Street will be subject to clamping

We hope this change to the disabled parking bays will not cause too much inconvenience and that you will still be able to use the many resources of the Jubilee library. Do not forget that the city has 12 branch libraries you can use where parking may be easier. Find a local library There is also a Mobile Library which may stop closer to your home.
