Brighton History Centre holds a range of weekly and daily newspapers for Brighton and the former county of Sussex, from 1749 to the present. Our collection of newspaper cuttings features articles on many popular topics, including biographies of well-known personalities.

Our local history periodicals cover all aspects of life in Brighton and Sussex. Family history magazines are available for both beginners and experienced researchers.

Please contact us if you are planning to use our newspaper collection. Most copies are only available on microfilm, so it is advisable to contact us and book a reader in advance of your visit.
