Temporary closure of Portslade Library on 29 and 30 June
Portslade Library will be closed on 29 and 30 June 2009 to install a fire alarm system in the library and the Children's Centre. The work will conclude on 1 July but the library will be open as normal on this day. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

South Portslade Children's Centre
In partnership with the Children and Young People's Trust there is a SureStart Children's Centre in Portslade Library. The services are provided by a community team made up of Health Visitors, Early Years Visitors and Midwives, and are for families with children under 5.
What the Children's Centre offers:
- Outreach health services provided by Health Visitors, Early Years Visitors and Midwives
- Local information and signposting
- Groups and family support services to the local community
Portslade Children's Storytime
Storytime at Portslade library will be every thursday at 11.30am for pre-school children
