  • wide and varied range of fiction, including large print and fiction in other languages
  • 'Quick Picks' area featuring titles currently in the news or media
  • large selection of non-fiction, including many reference resources
  • self-service facilities that allow you to borrow and return items yourself
  • varied selection of audio books, including fiction and non-fiction
  • large IT Centre providing access to online resources and the Internet. IT facilities include a range of equipment to support visually or hearing impaired customers
  • dedicated Sound and Vision area featuring an extensive range of DVDs including a large range of World Cinema titles, and a large collection of CDs covering many genres
  • special young people's area with graphic novels, study guides, Play Station and fiction
  • special collection of adult graphic novels
  • separate children's area containing picture books, fiction, DVDs and audio books
  • Essential Skills collection - with books to help you learn English and maths
  • Brighton & Hove Library Service's unique collections of over 45,000 rare books and special collections brought together in a new reading room
  • Lesbian, Gay, Bi-Sexual and Transgender collection that includes fiction, information, films and publications
  • come along to our regular Pensions Surgery, where a representative from the Pensions Service will be available to discuss your pensions queries from 10.00am -12 noon. Telephone (01273) 364916 / 364917 / 364908 for an appointment. Forthcoming dates: 23 December, 6 & 20 January, 3 & 17 February.
