Bookstart is a national book-gifting scheme. There are 3 free Bookstart packs:
- Bookstart baby pack for babies 0-12 months. This is normally gifted by health visitors at the baby's first health check, or is available from Children's Centres or your local library
- Bookstart plus pack for toddlers 18-30 months. This is available from health visitors, Children's Centres, the Family Information Service or your local library
- Bookstart treasure chest. This is for children aged 36-48 months. It is usually gifted at the child's nursery or playgroup, or is available from Children's Centres or your local library
